I think that he should have acknowledged the dreadful lack of choice on the scheme as well. I’m not sure how I feel about them donating our money to another charity, however worthy. Mrs Glos Guy and I had already donated directly (having decided that we couldn’t accommodate refugee’s due to my wife’s disability) and it now feels as though we have donated twice! Fair enough if their staff wish to donate, but the original donation and the matching funds donations have effectively come from us without consultation. I’m not really passing judgement either way as it’s a difficult subject, but it’s a interesting concept that they are having to whack up AP’s and charge for adaptations but can spare cash to donate to another charity that many of us will have given to anyway.
