I’m not attempting to put forward an anti-EV/Hybrid argument, just posting some information that I read. I play BOTB most weeks and always play for EVs and Hybrid cars such as Audi Q4 and Volvo XC60 PHEV.
I agree that Tesla will skew the stats as they are by far the most unreliable.
Also, I did read that the faults were mostly software, rather than serious problems with battery or drivetrain. Which makes it worrying that these seemingly minor faults still result in the car being off the road for longer than petrol cars. This applies to both plug-in and hybrids, i.e. non – Tesla cars as well as full EV.
I would think that most people on Motability would be more concerned about how many days and occurrences their vehicle may be unavailable. Not whether it’s an expensive fault vs software fault.
As for the Daily Fail, I am no fan of theirs either, but don’t believe that they’ve made up the figures from the Which Survey.
