Order a car AND get a discount, the chances of the former is doubtful but I think the chances of a discount has the same odds as winning the lottery. ? We’ve all heard the stories of dealers not wanting to know Motability customers when there’s queues at their doors from private buyers willing to pay over the odds for a new car and indeed willing to pay more for a second-hand car than what the new one would cost. The main reasons why today’s massive car search engine will turn up just 625 cars, many of which are just trim and engine differentials, is because Motability are a liability to car dealers and manufactures at this time. ? I wish you luck in your discounts though and who knows you might get a couple of gallons of fuel in the car when its delivered, but then if you’ve won the lottery you won’t be worried too much about that. I hate being a party pooper. ?

I would have been inclined to agree, but I have been surprised at the big discounts that are still easily available from many manufacturers (including some premium ones) through organisations such as Drive the Deal. These are brand new (not pre-registered), factory order cars (to your exact specification) from franchised main dealers. Some (but not all) of the discounts stem from finance discounts, but those who don’t need a PCP are able to pay off the finance early (even after days) and still keep the discounts – a loophole that I have legitimately exploited several times!
