Like Lee said above “Motability likes the car to be MOT before the due date” and as I hate going to the dealers I went to the wire with putting my car in for it’s first MOT with a month before its third birthday.
So it’s one month before the car is 3 years old for Motability and having booked my car in one month before third birthday the dealer could not do the MOT for 2 weeks and so was just over 2 weeks before the 3 years and because of the lateness of the MOT I had a very stern warning letter from Motability (who I assume never checked to see if the car was even booked in) via snail mail telling me I might be kicked off the scheme if the car is not MOT’ed immediately, I kid you not.
