This is a good question and although I’ve got a car on order plus another year and a half before hitting the five year mark with the delays in deliveries and the lack of cars I think there’s going to be loads of MB customers ending up with unsuitable cars because they had to take what was left on the shelves, often the stuff no one else wants.
As rox has said only MB knows the answer to this but one way around it would be to take a car, be it an unsuitable one, and if something suitable turns up after you’ve taken delivery of your unsuitable car do an early termination and order a suitable the car. Will cost you money but its something I’m toying with should my ordered car turn out to be unsuitable.
Lets face it, no cars in showrooms to check suitability, manufactures brochures that are as helpful as chocolate tea pots and test drives becoming as rare as Hens teeth they know there’s going to be a backlash to was going on at the moment.
