personnally i was against the eu from the start, germany and france were determined to have a federal europe and used it to benefit themselves france in particular with the common agricultural policy. the uk had no chance of changing their cabal. everything has to be decided centrally and no nation can have a differing opinion, just look at the farce over covid vacceines, france delayed things insisting that their factories had to be invloved in production an threw a fit when it turnedd out one of their vacceines was crap. so they then tried to insist the uk give up vacceines it had ordered well before the eu had even approved their use.
now i am not a fan of boris but i am glad were out of the eu. when we originally joined we were sold it as a common market to ease trade and movement of people. it morphed into a massive demistate controlled by france and germany.
