When we picked up our Tiguan a little over 2 years ago the dealer wanted to put in (and charge for) £20. I told them not to bother – the nearest petrol station was less than a mile away and I admit I played the disabled card (I never do that) and sent them a shortly worded email to the effect of “Are you seriously going to hand a disabled driver a brand-new car without enough fuel in it to drive 1200 metres?”
They replied with something to the effect of “Oh, everyone says yes to that, we already put in the £20 but we won’t charge you for it as a courtesy”
