They’re already there I bet. Might not be known as NATO, but I am pretty sure the UK and USA have forces there.
There are troops of course, but they’ll leave as soon as the shooting begins. They’re currently there to train ukraines soldiers on the new equipment etc.
And i see myself in agreement there. As much as everyone else, i’d want to see Pootin getting a bloody nose in Ukraine, but that’s not gonna happen. And.. Well, lets be painfully real here. Does anyone here want to go to a potential big inter-european (potentially even world) war for Ukraine? I don’t.
It absolutely sucks for Ukrainians, but myself, i wouldn’t want the NATO involved (saying that as someone who did deploy for the NATO before). What i would like to see is the fullest extent of sanctions available, including stop of Nordstream 2, potential removal from SWIFT etc. Proper batter them where it hurts, rather than these complete and utter pointless “pinpoint” stings targeting a few Oligarchs who don’t care about that in the first place since the majority of their “wealth” is secure offshore.
