Where did you get that info Ali? Most of the info that other forum members have read and posted on here seems to point to the chip shortage not being resolved until next year and very little improvement before then.
As for Advance Payments, we cannot be certain that the current high AP’s are solely due to the chip shortage, so they won’t necessarily fall significantly when the chip shortage eases. The chip shortage is more likely to be the cause of vehicles being removed altogether. Higher AP’s may be down to a number of other factors as well and IMO there seems to be a repositioning of the scheme going on. We now seem to be at a place where the choice is solely budget and mid market brands at AP’s that are significantly more than we were paying for premium brands just a year ago. I’m not entirely confident that this situation will be reversed when the chip shortage ends.
