I am on Octopus Go and it will go up 7.7p per Kw/h. I haven’t even noticed charging on my electric bill. I am on benefits and my income has changed by pence every year since 2012. I have tightened my belt every year, rarely put the heating on. I just Chuck another dog on the bed when it’s cold. I got an email for Octopus last week saying if I was struggling, get in touch, so I did, was told because I always paid my bills and was in credit they could not help. I replied suggesting I should put my heating on and not pay and maybe then they would contribute. I got a £50 credit. When I penned a heartfelt thank you saying I didn’t expect anything and the young man had made my day, and to tell his Mum he had made an old man happy, he then sent a £50 Shopping voucher telling me to treat myself. Made my week.
