    Graeme can I point out that petrol powered cars are NOT going to be outlawed in 2030 so please don’t worry about that or continue to spread negatives….. what is going is cars powered ONLY by petrol.

    This means that hybrid and plug in hybrids will still be sold, see for example Toyota and the Yaris, Auris, CHR etc they will have an electric component to the drive train to reduce emissions.

     

    Gilders & X… Rapid charging is not ideal for battery life but its not going to kill them either…. same as buying a diesel but only driving a few miles each day to the shops isn’t great or a petrol and ragging it up and down the motorway at 80/90 every day.

    Gilders yes you can have the heater on while charging, done it plenty of times myself. Of course you should turn the car fully off before starting and ending the charge but during it you can have everything on… heating, radio, seats, lights etc ?
