Hi DumfriesDik, yes i do have a car but i can rarely find a parking bay in the dedicated car park for the sheltered block where i live.
21 self contained flats.
8 dedicated parking bays – two of which are for blue badge holders.
Approx 11 or 12 residents with cars – mostly blue badge holders.
No space for extra bays due to being hemmed in on all sides by houses or retail outlets or factories.
Its a lottery every day to see if there’s an empty parking bay – mostly there’s never any free bays)
How are the government going to circumvent the problem of people living in blocks of flats or sheltered projects where there is no possibility for charging points? there must be many 1000’s of elderly or disabled folks living in such places(me included) that will surely be worried about the proposed outlawing of petrol cars in 2030.
