Ordered a BMW X1 21 of April they have said I will get update in may
It sounds very much as though your dealer didn’t have any available build allocation slots when you ordered Trevor and probably sat on your order for many months before they could actually place it with BMW. We ordered our X1 just one month before you and took delivery on 23rd July last year. Admittedly, our dealer nabbed a cancelled order slot for us, so we probably got it a couple of months earlier than otherwise, but the normal wait for an X1 ordered last spring was 5-6 months, not over a year!
It’s worth waiting for though. We are delighted with ours. I was a bit concerned having been used to 3, 5 and even 7 Series Beemers, but the facelift model has tackled the ‘budget BMW’ feel that had put us off when we had changed previously. The all new X1 isn’t due out until the end of the year, so sadly your prolonged wait won’t be rewarded with one of those, but I’m sure that, like us, you are incredibly relieved that you ordered one whilst we could!
