I would never wish anyone to lose their jobs but if car makers and dealers are losing billions through the disregard of their customers in updating and giving false hope delivery dates leading to cancelled orders does give me a wry smile.
I’ve been wondering when the crossover point will come between people putting up with the way things are the moment and walking away from new cars either ordered or planning to order. Perhaps we are seeing the begining of it? As well as reviewing how they go about building cars perhaps a review of how they deal with customers and the need to keep them onside. Surely the manufactuers must be aware that customers will only give so much leeway before it becomes ridiculas for them.
