    630 ‘in stock and available’ vehicles yet none are available for Motability customers? WOW that kinda leaves me speechless!

    Motability pay dealers a fixed handling fee of a few hundred pounds for each order. However, Motability orders also count towards the volume bonus incentives that dealers get, which can be substantial, hence why many of us managed to negotiate discounts off the Advance Purchase price that were far in excess of the Motability handling fee. Cars that are in stock have already counted towards these volume targets, so there is far more incentive to sell those cars to private customers, most of whom are poor negotiators so add substantially to dealers profits! That’s why dealers will almost always steer a Motability customer towards a new factory order as it will count as a new sale towards their incentive schemes.
