Comfortably around 50mpg on a longer run – normal driving. 55 ish if being more careful and around 42-45 around town depending on driving style.
Thanks. That’s certainly much better than our previous VW Tiguan 190PS 4WD Diesel, which only averaged about 38mpg.
Much to our surprise (as we didn’t order it for the fuel economy) our new petrol BMW X1 2.0i 4WD auto is returning around 42mpg on average and can easily reach 50mpg on a long run. I find it amazing how engine refinement, performance and fuel economy can be so wildly different between cars that, on paper, have near identical power outputs.
