As I am the full time carer for my wife, when I am in the car on my own, I do not park in a disabled space as it is damn right offensive to disabled people, wrong and rude.
I have a theory. Maybe the local council should employ me as a Disabled Parking warden, pay me £0 a year, just expenses and then they would see a huge return but even better, ticket non disabled drivers without a badge and they would soon get the message, park there without a blue badge and you are going to be ticketed.
I think it would only take a year or two doing this and the general public would be aware of this shameful behaviour and wont risk it for a fine of say £100 that could be better spent improving the car parks, increase disabled parking and going towards grants to assist disabled people or to assist with stair lift or ramps for wheelchair users.
Just an idea………………………………….
