@ Glos Guy – I didn’t know that ‘false’ advertising went ahead around the launch of LR onto the scheme. If that was the case, I probably wouldn’t have posted this thread and would have allowed everyone to be surprised. @ Brydo – I didn’t get in touch with Lexus at all but thank you for doing so and confirming that the UX will join the scheme. The UX would certainly be on my shortlist but I feel there will be a substantial AP.
To be fair, it wasn’t false advertising Aygo, LR had a genuine intention to join the scheme but in the end they couldn’t agree terms with Motability and / or I recall there was some noise around Motability deciding that the LR marque didn’t fit with their core objectives or words to that effect. Either way it never happened. I should think that the Lexus addition is more realistic. The UX is below the arbitrary price caps and there would be no potential issues that I can see. Sadly, the UX would be too small for us, but I’d really love to see Lexus join Motability as it just might result in bigger cars in the future, although that may be a false hope!
Oh, I see. I hope this isn’t what’s happening now as I’ve contacted Motability’s Customer Service and they have no idea either.
