Very interesting, Brydo, and matches my experience exactly.
I’ve found Ionity to have the most accessible charging network, with wide bays and no kerbs to obstruct. Instavolt are a mixed bag, sadly. I stopped at the Banbury Instavolt station last week, which is a new 7 bay install, but all parking spaces were very narrow, without even extra space at the end (even though there was plenty of room).
Very disappointing and frustrating.
I would argue with the Motability comment as to why only 6% of its customers choose to have an EV. I would say it’s more to do with the price of suitable cars on the scheme and lack of choice.
Things are going in the right direction. There are currently 21 EVs with zero advanced payment. This includes a Honda e, a DS 3 and Mini e. Not bad really!
