I’ve had my MG HS 15 months now & I’m honestly have had a number of issues. The software update last year improved some niggles.
yes the dealers (albeit not all) lack knowledge or interest and there’s no real logistics – it’s more to do with the dire MG U.K. corporate not supporting or communicating – the ‘head office’ little more than a import vehicle.
I still have the odd issue with the auto / dct box but use to it now & the infotainment system is sluggish & freezes several times a month.
but overriding this is the fsvtsstyc access, the most comfortable car I’ve ever driven & had in the scheme & the standard spec & tech very impressive. The new 2022 model is even better and more up to date spec.
esrlier this year Motability had agreed for an early termination but with every increasing AP’s, less availability, long lead in times & the ‘semi conductor’ fiasco better the devil you know.
im happy I didn’t early terminate & although still issues the access and comfort override all else for my needs.
more people rave about the PHEV MG HS but the 1.5 petrol dct is adequate & in sport / supersport mode extra torque when needed, on average on mixed driving I get 360 to 390 to a full tank of petrol.
sorry for the long ramble but the access, very comfy supportive seats and the loaded specification list make it worthwhile
but when it comes to changing I’m 2023 I doubt I’ll go for Althea MG brand – if indeed the scheme still exists then
