Yes, kbfern, for our usage levels a 7kw home charger seems like an unnecessary convenience.
My home electric supply is 20p/kwh and I can’t change at the moment, so it’s only 5p/kwh more at Lidl for 50kw.
I went the other day at 15%, plugged in, did around 40 mins of shopping that I had to do anyway, came out and it was at 80%. Cost me about £7!
Even if I spend £300 getting the ‘free’ charger fitted, at only 5p less per kwh it’s going to take a while to reap the benefit.
