I have had a paper licence since 1994, but after having a change of address needed to apply for a photo ID plastic one. Well, what a faff that was, Had to get a replacement birth certificate to have my photo signed by someone who knew me, another piece of official correspondence with my name and address on and a £17 postal order!!! They don’t make it easy do they!
