Georgie – navigating light aircraft (and gliders) used to be all about recognising motorways and railway lines. These days it is just GPS. Boring but safer (get the wrong side of the M25 in Essex and you’ll get a very angry shout from Stansted airport!). Sorry the heat is a bit much – but you do get an excuse to don the Purple Hat!
