Brydo – People! Sadly my days of anything else in the back seats have gone….

It’s me and two of my boys plus my mum. I’m mum’s driver of all things and all appointments, especially since dad died late last year and even before he died, I was the one who ferried them to the hospital etc. She used to drive her and dad to the shops but she has completely lost her confidence since firstly the lockdowns and then dad’s death.

Youngest son does drive and has his own car but if we are doing family things, it makes more sense to pile into the one car, we would struggle in his as he has a tiny car although weirdly, my wheelchair fits in his boot standing up (nothing else does mind) and it is so low down that it’s get the winches out to get me out of the thing. My middle son is my full time carer, where I go, he goes otherwise I cannot do anything.

Eldest also comes in the car from time to time, he doesn’t live at home anymore, so we can have anything from 2 to 5 people in the car on a regular basis.

Winston – I love those photos! Reminds me of my first car, the early days of my marriage and festivals.
