i dont see why people are getting so worked up about electric vehicles i just see it as another alternative to whats available and as at the end of my lease i will assess which vehicle suits my needs and will enable me to continue with my life.
its just another fuel type to me, when i was doing high mileages i had a deisel as that was the best for me at the time now with low mileages i have a petrol. more important for me is the ease i can get in and out of whatever car i have.
if i still did a long commute and higher mileage i probably wouldnt consider electric due to range anxiety and an inability to home charge and i am sure that will apply to many on the scheme and in the wider world.
however due to my current lifestyle low mileage and flexible working i would be able to cope with public charging so electric will be considered. that doesnt mke me an ecowarrior or suddenly make me a member of greenpeace it simply means i have decided an electric vehicle is the best solution at that time and people shouldnt be derided for whatever choice we make lets face it at the moment the choice is diminishing daily.
so in a years time i will be seriously considering the electric options along with phev and petrol and i will get whatever i like regardless of others opinions. get whatever suits your life.
