It’s a cost/use case for me. Losing 10-15mpg over 3 years isn’t worth the two days there’s a bit of snow on the road.
You must be looking at the wrong cars Rene. Our 4WD BMW X1 is less than 3mpg worse than the 2WD version. We are more than happy with that as the benefits are apparent year round, not only when it snows, and we don’t choose a car based solely on mpg. However, as I say, for most people a 2WD makes more sense.
