I ordered the Q3 Black Edition on 24th April and had an email from the dealer about a week later informing me that my car build date was week 30.About a month later I had another email saying the build date has come forward 6 weeks from week 30 to week 24 (starts the 14th of June). The Audi dealer emailed me on the 21st of June to say it’s been built and then I had a follow up email on the 29th to say it’s at a European port ready to be shipped. In the email it said delivery would be between 3 to 4 weeks,so hopefully I should have it by the end of July. The Audi mobility specialist has been great and have kept me up to date with any information he’s received.Going by my experience of dealing with Bristol Audi,I would recommend Mark the mobility specialist for keeping me in the loop with any developments regarding my order.

Great feedback Bren, especially as Audi Bristol is our nearest dealership. We didn’t get to go there as the Q3 didn’t have some of the kit that we wanted and we also preferred a more powerful engine plus 4WD, but we like Audi and will bear this in mind next time. Sadly, your feedback tends to confirm my theory that the issues that the others have been experiencing are not due to build delays but dealers not placing the order with the manufacturer in a timely manner, which will be down to build allocations (not that the dealers will ever admit to this).
