We’re seeing a warping of what’s available in terms of EVs here, if an EV model is also made with fossil engines then it is available, if it’s a pure EV then it is only on the scheme if the cheapest version is under the threshold. As manufacturers release EV only models (Ioniq 5, Tesla Model 3, etc.,) we will have to wait longer for the batteries to get cheaper than we would if there was a fossil version (Pug e2008 etc).
Motability is in effect protecting fossil manufacturers over EV manufacturers, wonder if they get a backhander in return from the likes of BP.
