Spoke with my Vw dealer this afternoon, now 20 weeks for a ID.3 factory build. Unfortunately not a lot of stock in the country plus the factory summer shut down.
My guy has gone away for a well earned break , and has promised me that when he gets back, he will get me an ID.3 Max either from the factory, by changing an order already in, or substituting , or altering one from those already on order, or even one already on the way to him – he did something similar with the Tiguan, which had a 36 week lead time back in 2018 ( so long lead times are not a new thing) yet I was in the new car within 10 days I believe?
It had a couple of options on it , but that was ok – I have still only used the self parking thing once ( just to see how it worked ) but the other options are fully used, as will any fitted to the car which my guy will find, I’m sure!
Your guys , like mine, are probably very used to switching orders around to help customers!
The local dealer however, just came up with the stock answer ( ‘ factory order. 5 months to delivery ).
