Brydo, we have an XC40 PHEV on order and have looked into chargers. We decided there’s little to gain from charging at home on anything more than a 13A socket (at 10A using the supplied cable) We could get a 16A commando socket fitted cheaply enough which would reduced empty to full charging from 4 to 3 hours but a suitable cable would be about £200. The XC40 won’t charge any faster whatever you present it with. Some PHEVs like the outlander can be charged faster and for them a wall charger might be worthwhile. Don’t know about the EQA though.
