I’ve got an Ateca Excellence Lux (MY19), same engine and gearbox. I manage 39 to 46 mpg. The Tiguan is slightly heavier, so the milage would drop a bit, but absolutely not to 25mpg. It of course depends very much on the type of journey you do, but if the amount of driving is barely enough to get the engine warm (and at 25mpg that’s the case) it’s not surprising that you dont get much out of it. The route llantwit major to bridgend (plug it into google maps to get an idea) is around 40mpg indicated, not in eco mode, sporty driving. As said: it all depends on the type of driving.
