Sorry to hear about Mrs ajn, ajn. 8 years for an MS diagnosis! Crikey. I went to see my old GP with symmetrical tingling in my fingers and toes and he had me in for an MRI in under a week and diagnosed with r/r MS in a fortnight. Passed on to a Specialist in a month and now on daily Brabio (glatiramer acetate) injections. (Of course, this was 16 years ago, when the local surgery was still rated ‘excellent’, rather than ‘poor’ like it is now!)
On the other hand, when I kept going to see the new GP with chronic severe back pain they sent me to a Pain Clinic that set me on the inevitable ‘Physiotherapy twice a week’ path. When the exercises actually made things worse they added TENS to the routine, followed by injections into the facet joints – until a disc in my lower spine collapsed and left me with inoperable Spondylolisthesis, a spinal cyst and Facet Joint Disease.
I’d have been better off seeing a Vet.
