If you tried launch control on the Kona, you’d be ordering that and sod the kids.
pull up at the lights, select sport. Left fort on the brake, right foot to the floor on the accelerator (obviously still silent) as soon as the lights change, lift the left foot off the brake and get flung back in the seat! It seems to help not get the wheel spin that way!
