    They’d give me a grant no problem apparently but the answer is petrol qashqai, no running costs considered, no choice nothing decent boot 2 kids? Qashqai that’s what I was just told. Need heated seats go to halfords buy a cover. Really need the heated seats wheel & ideally the hud but none of that is considered. They won’t even consider fuel type. It’s looking like the only choice is going to be the ZS EV. Short of taking out a provident type loan that is.

    I think with the grant, they make an award, for what they consider to be a suitable car, but you can use that amount towards any car, I’m sure someone else can confirm or refute this.  So in the case of the Qashqai, if you need an automatic, the award would be a minimum of £199, which would cover half the cost of the Premium, or leave you needing to find another £1300 for the SE spec, as I said above, you’d probably save £1000 in 13k miles!
