The BP Pulse fast DC chargers are costing me 15p kW, so similar to standard day time rate you’d pay at home, and will take the 64kW battery from 20-80% in just under an hour on average. So, the costs for 2000 miles is £41.86 in pence per mile, it’s costing me 1.81p a mile MPG based on fuel costing £1.26 a ltr comes in at 316.80mpg I’m averaging 3.97 miles/kW ———————————————————————- Is’nt it closer to 4p per mile based on those sums above ^^^
Those sums are based on the total electricity I’ve used, some paid for, and some free, that’s one of the nice things about EV’s, lots of places give you free fuel,
But your point is valid, if I was only charging at DC fast chargers, the costs would be closer to 4p a mile, the BMW I had previously was closer to 12p, so even in a worst case scenario, it’s still 66% cheaper than a decent diesel.
