i have watched a lot of the reports from around the world about his death and i have to say i have been struck by how real and considerate the official statements have been. many times when governments and politicians comment on a public figures passing you can tell its just some platitude prepared by some flunky.
but today particularly from the commonwealth and even america its clear the respect in which he was held.
