I’ve owned a 3 series tourer and driven both the 5 saloon and tourer to their limit (140 plus) whilst working.
Both are excellent and I would say the 5 is more stable on fast roads but the 3 better in urban areas.
A 5 would suit my needs more now as I still do a lot of motorway driving, albeit a tad more sedately!!
