I ordered a BMW X1 xDrive20i xLine on Monday. The AP was £2,849, off which I negotiated a £500 discount. I mentioned to the dealer that the AP might change today and they said “no problem. If it drops in price we will cancel and re-order”. The AP dropped by £100 today. As it was a small amount I decided not to remind them of their offer, however the dealer proactively emailed me at 8am to say that the AP had dropped by £100 and they would be doing as promised. I replied saying that I was happy with the price agreed, but if it was a quick job and wouldn’t affect the lead time then that was great. Instant response saying that the order had been placed already with BMW, so wouldn’t be affected and it was just an admin exercise with Motability and the £100 is better in my pocket than theirs. That’s what I call great service.
