Brad I don’t think “the fail” would be too worried. They haven’t had a hissy fit about the small Beamers, Mercs etc we are able to go for. It’s only when we get above ourselves, as they see it and go for the bigger more expensive models that they make a fuss.
I think they would be relaxed about the plebs getting a cheap Tesla, whilst they could carry on with the more expensive models.
By the way there is a rumour about a tie up between Toyota and Tesla to produce a cheap SUV. With Tesla tech and Toyota build quality it might be a good fit.
