*Great post, Brydo. Must agree with Wigwam in that the author must have done degree in Blindingly Bleedin’ Obvious: short-range cars appeal to drivers doing short journeys.
Also interesting to hear about this “salary sacrifice car” lark, performed by a “car benefits company” (Tusker). Never come across this stuff before. Seems to be a way for employees to avoid paying a bit of tax if they buy a new car on scheme. Tusker claims to be running the service inside the NHS which seems a bit odd. Why would a government organisation conspire with a private company to stop that government earing tax revenue? To stimulate vehicle sales? If it is, then it is doing exactly the opposite of PIP .
