@joss Thanks, again, for tech help. Reverting to previous thing speeded everything up to normal once more. Took some doing because Windoze changes the names of stuf and their locations so much – just to stop us mending their cock-ups, I reckon. Will try to do the “download but do not install” thing next. My appliance does not have the route you quoted to get there but a bity of Googling will sort it, I’m sure.
