Britain has already signed up for the adoption of Autonomous Speed Limiters – sorry, I mean the Intelligent Speed Assistance system. I don’t know if we also signed up for the Alcohol Interlock system that prevents drunk-driving (not sure how – via a breathalyser, I guess) and the Driver Distraction monitors. Volvo intend to fit all 3 systems to their future vehicles.
We could have opted out now that we’ve Left the EU, but we signed up for it any way.
