Most of the younger folks on here probably never saw the old lekky milk floats so here’s a typical one:
Batteries were monster lead-acid variety – mounted under the load bed. If you were going to have a crash, it was best not to hit one of these. The sheer mass of immoveable battery object would demolish a car easily.
