Obviously autonomous cars have a bit to go before they are widely adopted but IMO they will be with us, all be it in small numbers ,in a year or two. Full autonomy is being fed to us operation by operation, be it automatic lights and windscreen wipers, cruise control and the adaptive cruise control, parking assist, lane departure prevention etc so its already with us but in a basic form.
There is £billions to made from this industry and the associated spinoffs but unfortunately we are likely to miss out on this bonanza as the people in the UK seem reluctant to adopt early what will come our way in the future.
