I’ve driven a very wide variety of vehicles in all sorts of snow since passing my test 46 years ago!. No hard acceleration or braking, start in a lower gear if possible, constant steady speed in as high a gear as possible etc.
Some were really awful and some were much better, the only 4WD I ever had was a Honda CRV in 2008 and that was ok, in fact the 4WD almost never switched itself on anyway.
I really was surprised just how poor the Ateca was, even pulling away from a flatish surface or trying to slow/stop at a junction with a slight decline it was very worrying! the 19″ 235/40 tyres are not great at all!.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
