I did not list it as a % as the data does not list it in terms of percentages, or the cat would be out of the bag. Neither do goverments or the bbc etc etc but in just listing the rates per whatever they trying to highlight to us all, how much the rates have grown, when have they really grown that much at all..% wise. I say they have not and imo are infact misleading.

Also maybe because of more testing the false postive rate has also grown as well as detecting more cases than in the the first so called wav, because they testing more tells us nothing at all. but lets not forget the nhs has 15k less general beds since 2010 and 15k less beds than this time last year due to covid measures.

The current rate of operational false-positive swab tests in the UK is unknown; preliminary estimates show it could be somewhere between 0·8% and 4·0%

This is why asking people to get a test who do not have symptoms of coronavirus could be a big problem as they may have dead virus and still test positive for up to 70 days data and experts suggest.

Also you was the one who did not put your workings out down, and the one who started talking about %’s not me.. so who is misleading people if you had said that in the beginning, maybe we could have had a disscussion or debated it, but no you do not want that. Instead you tryed to dismiss the maths. When infact i think you’ve actually proved me right and clearly must have tunnel vision an not peripheral vision and as you cannot dismiss the data that clearly shows you up to be very biased to one view indeed.

0.5% per whatever is a very small % imo it’s less than 1% infact it’s 50% less than 1% So we can all see how maths put in a certain way can be misleading or omitting data or missing steps altogether.

The easy way to multiply by 10, 100, 1000 etc is to move the decimal point to the right. Look at the number of 0’s to see how many places to move the point. (e.g. x10 move 1 place, x100 move 2 places, x1000 move 3 places etc.) to divide move to the left.

This is the last i will say on this matter as it is clear to me, you don’t want to listen to any view outside your tunnel.
