Mexico has been a WTO member since 1 January 1995 and a member of GATT since 24 August 1986

So how does that workout then. Mexico is not in the eu but guess what, Free Trade Agreement between Mexico and the European Union, is a trade agreement between the European Union and Mexico Signed: 12 August 1997. and for that vw gets cheap labour and increases their margins.

It’s ok for the eu to have free trade deals with many others but not with the uk. We need all this other stuff to have a deal, alevel playing field, as we was a member who wanted to leave and did. but the transition period runs out thats all.. and thus then we must suffer and cannot do better than the eu can or others will want to leave if we agree to a deal it will be a poor one as the eu can not afford to give us a good deal. it’s catch 22 and was always going to be the case.

As for cars well the uk goverment could just lower tariffs on cars but that rate would also apply to the whole wto and it would make the big eu car makers monopoly alot less in the uk, as other cars will be able to be imported, that currently not made inside the eu.

More to the question how will terry chocolate orange workout as it’s now made outside york and somewhere in the eu poland i think and as far as i know we the only country that i seen it for sale in..

Also the civic and accord which not sold in the uk anymore are more popular in the usa, than the eu so it’s another reason for the swindon plant closure (more to do with the eu than leaving the uk) and trump maga had an effect and not having to ship cars to america is a bonus for honda. watched a documentary a while ago on a new ship like a huge taxi for new cars that travels the world port to port dropping off and picking up new cars, was an interesting insight.
