The only reason to wear a facemask is if you’re infectious although if you have symptoms of coronavirus you should be self isolating.. How effective a mask is in those circumstances is open to debate but it seems to make sense to wear one. If you don’t have the Coronavirus or you are infected but not showing symptoms then evidence is that a face mask is of no effect. Even WHO admit that.
