Last time I went to Germany (12-ish years ago) I watched a series about a crime-solving Nun, aided by her Novice. All in German (which I don’t speak) with no English subtitles. Kinda had to make the story up as it went along but it was still really good! There was another show where the ‘hero’ seemed to be a long-haired German Shepherd dog. Also watched ‘MacGyver’ in German, but not understanding a word didn’t really make any difference. 🙂
I don’t know whether the hotel TV was just tuned into the ‘Crime Channel’ or if they just really like crime dramas over there. For some reason, on the same channel, the Friday midnight movie was ‘The Others’ – in English. I love that film.
