Hi All. Took delivery of Golf Life 1.5 estimate DSG Auto. I can confirm there are no electric folding mirrors grr I had these on my old mark 7. Also no side parking sensors grr. This was my own fault for not checking thoroughly although the salesperson did say I was getting equivalent features. Obviously not. These things are very annoying. However I suppose in the scheme of things not the end of the world. I will check thoroughly next time. It’s an expensive car I think these items should be included.
Chris – see my post further up the thread about several new Golf owner’s being pissed off on the forums that they don’t have folding mirrors when they thought they would have. Initially, VW issued an e-brochure saying the Golf had them but quickly deleted that brochure in July and reverted back to an earlier April brochure. That same brochure has only just been updated now with the release of the GTI, GTD, etc.
Best advice would be to anyone thinking of ordering a new Golf… check and double check with the sales person that your particular chosen model has folding mirrors at the point of ordering.
